How Scaletron works:

Fluid Dynamics have developed a stable alloy of different metals which in the presence of water generates a small electrolytic current. This has the effect of causing the pH of water passing over the Scaletron® alloy core to rise and this in turn causes the calcium carbonate and bicarbonate that cause scaling effects to actually start to form scale in the water as tiny microscopic crystals and these crystals stay in suspension in the water. The action of the Scaletron® is to preprecipitate some of the calcium so that when the temperature of the water rises it is no longer supersaturated with dissolved calcium as the Scaletron® has put it into suspension so no scale forms.

Installation: The Scaletron® needs no electrical connections and no maintenance. The unit is simply installed in the incoming water line.
